How the ballad of Kris Aquino and Cristy Fermin ended?

It used to be raging waters between Kris Aquino and Cristy Fermin’s fronts.

Fermin would seem never cease to cut Aquino to pieces, inch by inch, in her entertainment columns, bleeding them both to death, literally and figuratively.

The one the prey, the other the aggressor (or could it be a cycle each one role playing interchangeably in any way possible?) trying to devour flesh and bones out.

Once upon a time, they were co-hosts in ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz” every Sunday afternoon and they would earn each other extra smile and laughter as the show went on.

Suddenly, the sourness sank in especially when Cristy was already out of the show and eventually had her print media outlets the launching pad of her armor.

This Kris knew too well knowing the openness of their war but she never said anything about or against Cristy in public, anyway.

There is, in more ways than one, a uniqueness how tragedies bring people together, though, as what we have always witnessed in the most human fashion.

When Felina S. Fermin, mom of the irrepressible writer, passed away and was lying at the Funeraria Nacional, Kris came in, walked her way past mourners and went up to Cristy, planted her a kiss and in sympathetic overture both of them glanced, paid their last respects to the mother of perpetual private juicy items.

After a while, they stood in one corner, whispering hopes and talking about anything pleasant.

It was civil time for Cristy whose prey came in her own volition and thoughtful arms willing to be devoured again if she would permit.

Alas, it was quiet in the Fermin front as she introduced Kris to her kith and kin who in turned never squandered a moment seizing the night with a stolen or photo-op shots with Aquino’s willingness to pose for them.

The other members of the entertainment community namely movie scribes Vir Gonzales, Ambet Nabus, Mona Patubo, Reggee Bonoan and their ilk were likewise acknowledged by Kris before she sat in a long bench beside Fermin’s cousin.

The night wore off as it wanted to dose off as the bitter song of Kris and Cristy was being played to sweetness.
